Let me start by introducing myself...
I am Rosie Rattray, I'm 19 years old and I am currently studying at BIMM Brighton in my second year of my Events Management BA Honours Degree.
I have very little experience in events, however since starting this course I have gained a much further insight into the ins and outs of events and how they are run. This year I began working at the O2 Academy in Brixton which I hope from pursuing this job I can run the bar yet also observe how to run both successful events and hopefully some not so successful events and what variables can be changed to improve them. This is where the information I have accumulated over the past year and upcoming years can be applied to a real life event rather than hypothetical.
I have been a keen gig and festival goer since I was around 14 years old and after years of enjoying many different styles of events I decided I wanted to become part of events but behind the scenes rather than as the audience. In five years time I would hope to have completed my degree and decided on which area of events I would like to get into.
